The Benares Schoolfund Foundation (BSF)
The Benares Schoolfund Foundation enables underprivileged children in Varanasi, India, to receive an education.

The foundation supports three primary schools - LKG up to grade 8 – by paying the tuition fees of students, and the salaries and training of teachers.
Thanks to this support almost 250 underprivileged children receive free education.

Some big sponsors have pledged several years of support for the Benares Schoolfund Foundation. With their financial contribution, added to occasional donations, the foundation supports the three primary schools.

After primary school carefully selected individual students are considered for full sponsoring of their secondary education up to grade 12. Two local co-operators take care of this part of the foundation’s work in Varanasi.
Regular schoolsponsors pay all schooling costs of these children: school fees, books, uniform, homework aid and tutoring. And, if needed, medical care and food supply for their families.
Thanks to these sponsors another 50 students attend school.
